Fees

At Davis & Johnson Law Office, our clients’ interests are our number one priority, and that includes understanding the fees associated with our legal services. Our law firm provides representation for numerous practice areas, including personal injury law, workers’ compensation, estate planning, and more. Regardless of which type of legal matter you need help with, our approach is centered on making a real difference in our clients’ lives, focusing on thorough legal solutions rather than just case outcomes.
Our Fee Structures
If you are seeking legal assistance, one of your first questions is likely, “How much will it cost?” We understand how vital transparent attorney pricing is, which is why our Wyoming law firm offers multiple fee structures based on the type of legal services you are seeking.
Personal injury cases are represented on a contingency fee basis. This means that you will not owe any legal costs unless we win your case. Personal injury claims do not require retainers. Instead, our lawyers receive a percentage of your settlement award. A contingency-fee arrangement is beneficial for personal injury victims because it means our attorneys are just as motivated to secure maximum compensation. We don’t get paid unless you get paid when we represent you in claims regarding:
- Car, truck, and motorcycle accidents
- Medical malpractice
- Premises liability
- Slips and falls
- Dog bites
- Bicycle and pedestrian accidents
- Work injuries
On Workers’ Compensation cases, I get paid on a per hour basis by the Division. I only visit with clients after they get a Notice of Referral (otherwise, I could work 40 hours a week for free), but the clients don’t pay anything so long as it has been referred to hearing.
If you hire our firm for estate planning, we offer flat-rate pricing for most services. When you meet with our attorney, we will discuss your goals for managing your estate and protecting your legacy. Then, we will craft a personalized plan and suggest the best way to safeguard your assets, make sure your wishes are honored, and give you and your family peace of mind. Our estate planning legal services that fall under our flat-fee structure may include:
- Creating wills and trusts
- Power of attorney
- Advanced healthcare directives
- Probate
On probate, it is a statutory fee which is 2% plus $350 unless it is a summary probate (short form probate), then I charge an hourly fee because there are too many unknowns.
For assistance with another type of legal matter, our lawyer will require a retainer and then charge an hourly rate. We are upfront with all fees and do our best to mitigate costs without sacrificing legal excellence.
Why Understanding Attorney Fee Structures Matters
Every legal matter is unique and demands different sets of skills and resources. Our pricing structures are designed to accommodate those factors. We are committed to professional excellence and taking a personalized approach to claims. With over 50 years of combined experience, our team knows what it takes to get the best outcome for your case and to meet your goals.
As with any other service provider, you are entitled to know how much your lawyer charges. We believe in being up-front with our clients, so you never have to worry about a surprise invoice. For our flat-rate and hourly services, our attorney provides as accurate an estimate as possible, bringing clarity and trust to each client-lawyer relationship. If a situation arises that may incur additional fees, our team will communicate that right away so you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.
